When Sing’s uncle tells him that he will take care of his family if Sing comes to America to be his star player, Sing realizes that he must return to Hong Kong and save his father from prison. Once Sing learns soccer, his skills become exceptional and he soon ends up on the Shaolin soccer team with his friends A Feng (Shawn Yue), Old Five (Nicholas Tse), and A Suo (Xing Yu). The team is at a training camp in preparation for a tournament when they discover that the monk is in trouble with a group of thugs.
